Hozzávalók / Ingerdients:
- Egy doboz sajt (8 háromszög) / 8 portions of spreadable cheese (this time we used the light version)
- Ugyanannyi vaj / Same amount of butter (unsalted)
- Lila hagyma / Purple onion
- Só, Bors, paprika, köménymag / Salt, ground pepper, ground paprika, cumin (can be ground as well)
Elkészítés / Preparation:
Keverd össze a sajtot a vajjal / Mix the cheese with the butter
Meghintjük piros paprikával / Add the ground paprika to the mix
Hozzáadjuk a többi belevalót, majd összekeverjük. Tálalás előtt én beraktam a hűtőbe / Add the rest of the ingredients and mix it very well
Jó Étvágyat, Sós kekszekkel, finom friss fehér kenyérrel isteni finom / Good Appetite, serve with crackers, biscuits, or spread it on a fresh slice of white bread

A magyar parasztok és pásztorok egyik legfontosabb tápláléka a tej és a tejtermékek voltak; ez honfoglaló őseink hagyatéka. A tej házi feldolgozása során ebből készült az aludttej, a tejföl, tejszín, a vaj, az író, a túró, a tarhó és a sajt. Körözött paprikával és köményel elkervert túróból készült.
Liptauer is a spicy cheese spread made with sheep milk cheese, goat’s milk cheese, quark cheese or cottage cheese. It is a part of the regional cuisine of Slovakia (as Šmirkás, a form of the German Schmierkäse for cheese spread), Hungary (as Liptói túró or Körözött), Austria, Serbia (as Urnebes salata, “chaos salad”), Croatia and Italy (especially in the province of Trieste).
The name is derived from the German name Liptau for the region of Liptov (Hungarian: Liptó) in northern Slovakia, a former county in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
